Phil Harris, 72, of Firestone, Colorado, formerly of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away at the University of Colorado Medical Center on January 21, 2015, after a brief illness. He was born November 25, 1942, in Philadelphia, PA, son of the late Richard and Edith (Wright) Harris. Phil was stationed at F.E. Warren Air Force Base in 1980 after serving in Vietnam from 1966 to 1969, and various bases worldwide. He retired in 1989 from the United State Air Force after 28 years of service. He worked for Cheyenne Music and Vending for 10 years. He was a life member of the VFW and served as Commander, then Quartermaster of VFW Post 1881 until 2011. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Cheryl; sons, Philip and wife, Jennifer, and Greg and wife, Sara; grandchildren, Christopher, Zachary and Madeline; and siblings, Robert and wife, Gail, Richard and wife, Martha, and Veronica and husband, Richard. Visitation will be Saturday, January 24, 2015, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Schrader Funeral Home, 2222 Russell Avenue. A memory service with military honors will be held on Sunday, January 25th at 2:00 p.m. in the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader Funeral Home. Cremation will follow under the care of Schrader Funeral Home.
