Phillip E. Bryant, 71, of Cheyenne died October 23, 2013 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. He was born August 16, 1942 in Dighton, KS to Clarence and Lois Bryant. He married Karen Liden on August 21, 1965 in Pine Bluffs, WY. He was employed in many trades including truck driving, tow company owner/operator, fireman and with the telephone company. He was a member of the Baptist Church, Moose Lodge, Consolidated Freight Drivers and Cheyenne Vending Pool League. Phil was a people person and even as a child, never knew a stranger. He was an avid woodworker, artist, painter and pinstriper. He loved cars, auto racing, motorcycles and spending time on his computer. He is survived by his wife Karen of Cheyenne; children, Tandi Bryant of Cheyenne, Barry (Shannon) of Ft. Stewart, GA; parents, Clarence and Lois Bryant of Scotts City, KS; sisters, Janet (Paul) Barkey of Manhattan, KS and Sharon (Dan) Canterbury of Berthoud, CO; grandchildren, Tallyn, Daylan, Dalton, Dyllin, Dreden and Declan, and his Boston Terrier, Kloee. He was preceded in death by a brother, Darrell Bryant; nephew, Aaron Barkey; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Erik and Ruth Liden. Visitation will be Sunday 2:00-6:00 p.m. with family receiving friends 5-6 p.m. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday in the Schrader Chapel with Pastor Dan DeBruyn officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Bluffs Cemetery. Those who wish may contribute to American Lung Society.
