Porter O. New, 69, of Cheyenne died January 3, 2015 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. He was born January 22, 1945 in Delta, KY to Arville and Zella New. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a financial Management Supervisor and also was employed by the Wyoming Department of Family Services. He is survived by his children, Angel (Mark) New-Martinez, David (Erlinda) New and Aisha (Dave) New all of Cheyenne; grandchildren, Damian New, Diana New, LaNette Cruz, Brittany Martinez, Miguel Cruz, Johanna Cruz, Izayah New, Elijah New, Zavierra New, Nadia Hartshorn and Orrin Hartshorn; three great-grandchildren, Sonny New, Santino New, Izayas Martinez; siblings, Millie Michael of Richmond, IN and Paul New of Greenfield, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents. Those who wish may contribute to the Stride Learning Center, 326 Parsley Blvd., Cheyenne, Wyoming 82007. Cremation has taken place under the care of Schrader Funeral Home. Private family services will be held.
