Ray Brent Hersman, 67, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away November 25, 2015, at his residence. Ray was born August 30, 1948, in Morgantown, West Virginia, a son of the late Ernest R. and Virginia (Hupp) Hersman. Ray served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, receiving a Purple Heart for his honorable service. He later retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the Army Reserves and also from the Veterans Administration. His many interests included wood working, sightseeing, working on cars, and was a history buff. He was most proud of his family and his military service. Ray is survived by his daughter, Amber Graham of Cheyenne; his son, Michael Hersman of Cheyenne; his brother, Lane Hersman of New Albany, IN; and one granddaughter, Devyn Rae Graham. A Celebration of Life with military honors will be held on Sunday, December 6, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at the Schrader Reception Center. Cremation is under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.
