Ray Larez

Ray Larez, 82, of Pine Bluffs died March 5, 2012 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. He was born January 6, 1930, in Big Springs, TX to Gabino and Flora Larez. He married Celia Chavez. He was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad for 25 years. He is survived by his wife, Celia Larez of Pine Bluffs, children, Carmelo (Phyllis) Blanco of Gering, NE, Joe (Sonja) Larez of Pine Bluffs, WY, Velma Reher of Pine Bluffs, WY, Alberto Larez of Cheyenne, Luis Larez of Kimball, NE and Gloria (James) Vlahos of Loveland, CO; grandchildren, Amanda Hays, Natalie Johnson, Nichole O'Brien, Brittany Cassel, Joshua Larez, Alissa Larez, Tyler Larez, Jason Blanco and Dionne Ayala; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Maria Uribe of San Antonio, TX, Toni Carasco of El Paso, TX, Matilda Torres of Denver, Cera Gallardo of Denver and Rachel Ceniceros of Dallas, TX; brother, John Larez of Sonora, CA. He was preceded in death by daughters, Margarita Larez and Irma Larez; parents, Gabino and Flora Larez; brothers, Alfredo and Luis Larez and a sister, Patricia Fernandez. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday in Schrader Chapel. Interment will follow in Pine Bluffs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert O'Brien, James Vlahos, Luis Larez, Alberto Larez, Andy Gallardo, Josh Larez, Joe Larez, Bobby Hays and Carmelo Blanco.
