Raymond Kraft

February 26, 1935 — November 5, 2013

Mr. Raymond R. Kraft, 78, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away early Tuesday morning, November 5, 2013, at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. Mr. Kraft was born February 26, 1935, in Callaway, Nebraska, a son of the late Lawrence and Rhoda R. (Henry) Kraft. Raymond worked as a gasfitter serviceman for Cheyenne Light Fuel & Power for 40 years until his retirement in 1992. He was an active outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his passion was being a member of the Red Dale Camping Club, Cheyenne Jackalope Chapter. Raymond is survived by his daughter, Margaret Smith, her husband, Blaine, two grandsons, Christian Connin, fiancée LeAnna, Branch Connin, fiancée, Allison, all of Cheyenne; a great-grandson, Benjamin Fone, of Aurora, Colorado; a sister-in-law, Marilyn Kraft, of Hartwell, Nebraska, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wives Ora DeEtta Weir, and Elaine Bourcier, his brother, Charles Kraft; and three sisters, Maxine Shenefelt, her husband Bob, Delores Chalupa and twin sister Rama McClellan. Family will receive friends on Sunday, November 10, 2013, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Schrader Funeral Home. A memory service will be celebrated on Monday, November 11th at 1:00 p.m. at the Schrader Chapel. An interment service will follow at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens with reception to follow at the Bunkhouse Bar & Grill. Pallbearers will be Christopher Titus, Mark Titus, Ronald Gibbons, Christian Connin, Branch Connin, and Dakota Titus. Expressions of sympathy in Raymond's memory may be made to the Laramie County Animal Shelter. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home, Cheyenne.
