Reid Alan Larimore

Reid Alan Larimore, born on April 7, 1960, in Red Oak, Iowa, passed away on December 30,2024, at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center in Cheyenne, WY from a head injury sustained when he was struck by a car while walking home from a nearby convenience store. He was a beloved member of his family and community, known for his kindness, generosity of spirit and outgoing personality.

Reid held a variety of jobs after high school, with the majority of his working life spent with Continental Airlines, where he served as both a reservation agent and a member of the flight ground crew.

Reid had a keen sense of humor, delighting friends and family alike with stories from his youth. He loved spending time with family and formed lasting connections within his community, greeting neighbors and caregivers with warmth and familiarity. Reid had a remarkable ability to remember names—not only of those he met but also the names of their children and pets, which exemplified his caring nature.

Reid reveled in life’s adventures. He enjoyed traveling and visited Europe and the Caribbean on more than one occasion. He found joy in fishing, particularly in Alaska. He liked to cook and also enjoyed brewing his own beer. Nature brought him great happiness; he delighted in watching and feeding the birds and squirrels around his home and always kept treats for any neighborhood dog that came by.

From a young age, Reid was passionate about riding motorcycles, both off and on the road.  He especially loved Harley-Davidson motorcycles and cherished the long rides he took, including several memorable trips to the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. One of his proudest achievements was building his own Harley "bobber".

Reid is survived by his brother, Jay Larimore, his sister, Lisa Sramek, his three daughters, Brandi Larimore, Aryal Collums, Abbygale Lawrence, and his three granddaughters, Skylar, Tennly and Avery Wright. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Larimore and Martha Johnson Larimore, whose legacy of love and support he carried with him throughout his life.

Reid will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
