Mr. Richard "Dick" Moyer, 95, of Cheyenne, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014, at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. Dick was born January 2, 1919, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, son of Edgar and Lucille (Holmes) Moyer. Dick served as a United States Marine during World War II. Following his honorable discharge, he worked as a propane serviceman in Aurora, Illinois, and in Cheyenne for Kingham's. He later drove for LCSD #1 until his retirement. He volunteered for Cheyenne Frontier Days, served as 4-H leader, and was involved in FFA Alumni, American Legion, and the Marine Corps League and Cheyenne Saddle Tramps. He loved his horses and the "western life". Dick is survived by his daughters, Kay Moyer of Cheyenne and Rayma Rushing of Douglas, WY; and two grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Geraldine "Gerry" (Hershey) Moyer; two brothers and three sisters. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Schrader Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, March 3rd at 2:00 p.m. at the Schrader Chapel with Guy Landers officiating. An interment service will follow at Mountain View Memorial Park Cemetery.
