Rita Martinez

Rita E. Martinez, 70, of Cheyenne passed away on January 20, 2017 at Davis Hospice Center. She was born May 11, 1946 in Mora, NM to Cristobal and Amelia Martinez. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. She is survived by her son, Christopher Martinez (Kristin Bernatow) of Cheyenne; grandchildren, Benjamin, Moriah, Simon, Marcus, Gianna, Marcel and Catcher Martinez; former daughter-in-law, Debbie Martinez of Cheyenne; siblings, Susie Gonzalez of Cheyenne, David Martinez of Cheyenne, Neddy Bovard of Blackwell, OK, Charles (Marlene) Martinez of Brigham City, UT, Marie (Lee) Jenniges of Colorado Springs, CO and Rosie Martinez of Cheyenne and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, John Martinez and Phoebie Medina. Those who wish may contribute to St. Joseph's Food Pantry. A Vigil for the deceased will be 7:00 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church Funeral Liturgy will be 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Interment of her urn will follow in Olivet Cemetery.
