Robert "Bob" Patchke

March 2, 1928 — February 10, 2024

Cheyenne

Robert (Bob) Patchke was born in 1928 and resided in a number of towns in New York State until the early 1990's when he moved to Cheyenne, where he remained the rest of his life. He began working full time at 16 to help support his family. He was an automobile technician his entire career. He primarily worked to repair cars for resale in the 1940's, 50's and 60's, but in the early 1970's, when the first oil crisis dramatically changed the used car business, he transitioned to restoring antique and special interest cars for individual owners and collectors. A number of his projects won awards at national car shows around the country. Respiratory health issues finally forced his retirement in the early 2000's.

He married Deane Patchke in 1949 and they remained inseparable until her passing in 2018. He is survived by two sons: Eric and Carl; two daughters-in-law: Cynthia and Elena; two grandchildren: Austin and Ana; a sister June, a sister-in-law Irma and nieces and nephews: Deanna, Diane, Jeffrey, Rory and Terri and their children.

His family would like to express their great appreciation to the staffs of Home Instead, Sierra Hills and most especially to Elaine Andrews, for the wonderful care they provided to Bob these past seven years.

If you wish to make a contribution in his memory, please do so to the charity of your choice.
