Cremation has taken place at Schrader’s Sunset Park Crematory. Visitation: Robert Bob Ora Buckles, 80, of Cheyenne passed away October 26, in his home. He was born May 4, 1930 in Okmulgee OK. He graduated from Cheyenne High School in 1948 and was a member of the 1947 National Championship Basketball Team. He attended the University of Wyoming on a football scholarship. He joined the Air Force Reserves and was stationed at Clovis NM. Upon completion of his service he settled in Cheyenne and was the former owner of Buckles Electric. He also farmed and ranched in the Cheyenne and Wheatland areas. Bob was a man who loved to live life and did things his way. He loved the home that Margie made for them and puttering around in his garden with his trusted friend Gus, the doxie. He is survived by his loving wife Margie Buckles; his son Bill Buckles of Cave Creek, AZ and his 2 children Brett and Brandon Buckles; his son Buzz Buckles and his wife Juli of Cheyenne, WY and their 3 sons, Judson McCarty and his wife Jody and their daughter Nora, Joseph McCarty and Bradley Buckles; his daughter Robin McIntosh of Kimball, NE and her husband Tom and their two children Sybil and Jacob and their granddaughter Kylie; his stepson Mike Cotton of Las Vegas, NV and his sons Jeremy and Aaron; his stepson Tim Cotton and his wife Eva and their two sons Cody and RJ of Cheyenne, WY; his stepson Casey Cotton (deceased) and his daughter Nicole. He was preceded in death by his parents Ora Dutch and Virginia Buckles. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations in the memory of Bob Buckles can be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children or a charity of your choice.
