Robert Gary Fearneyhough was born on July 26, 1935 in Winchester, Illinois. He was the youngest of eight children. He passed away at his home on July 5, 2024.
As a child, he attended school in Bluffs, Illinois. He graduated from Bluffs High School in 1953 and enlisted and proudly served in the United States Army. After being honorably discharged from the Army in 1956, he attended Colorado State Teacher’s College, earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree. His teaching career began in Torrington, Wyoming at Goshen County High School. He later taught in Laramie County School District #1 and at Laramie County Community College. His teaching career spanned over 35 years.
Bob married Veronica Peeks on August 21, 1965. They had three children: Andrea, Jason and Cara.
He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. He enjoyed working on projects, traveling and watching his granddaughter’s activities.
He is survived by his wife; his children, Andrea of Washington, D.C., Jason (Tina) of Cheyenne, and Cara (Mike Hollingsworth) of Middleton, Idaho; and granddaughters, Abby of Los Alamos, NM, and Ellie of Cheyenne. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to Good Shepherd Lutheran, the Bob and Veronica Fearneyhough scholarship fund at LCCC or charity of choice.
If you wish to honor Bob’s memory, encourage young people, stand up for your country, respect those who serve, eat a bowl of ice cream, cheer for the home team, be generous and love your family.
