Robert Brent Murray died Sunday, May 13 at Davis Hospice Center. Brent was born in Miles City, MT on March 31, 1949 to Robert and Helene Prevost Murray. On September 4, 1976, he married the love of his life, Colleen Whittle Murray in Billings, MT; together they have shared the last 35 years with laughter, love, and adventure. Before moving to Cheyenne, Brent was a buyer for CFS Continental Keil in Billings, MT. There, they were very active in Girls' Fast Pitch Softball. Brent and Colleen moved to Cheyenne in 1987 and he served as the Vice President of Purchasing & Distribution for Taco John's International until 1996. He then joined Cinnabon in Seattle, WA and later AFC in Atlanta, GA as their Vice President of Purchasing before returning to Cheyenne to serve again as Vice President of Purchasing and Distribution from 1999 to April 2012. During his time at Taco John' s International, he was appointed by Governor Dave Freudenthal to serve on the Wyoming Food Safety Council; he also served as a Board Member of United Fresh Produce Association. Brent was a graduate of Sidney, MT Senior High School and Missoula Tech. He was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral and Iron Order Motorcycle Club, Wide Open Crew. Brent is survived by his wife, Colleen; sisters and brothers-in-law, Therese and Roger Floyd of Thomas, OK; Lynette and Joe Lynch of Billings, MT; and Gina Murray of Charlie Creek, MT. Brothers and sisters-in-law, Greg and Karla Murray of Seal Rock, OR; Don and Jo Murray of Henderson, CO; George and Becky Murray of Billings, MT, along with 24 nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and great nephews. He is also survived by his Mother-in-law Fern Whittle of Glasgow, MT; Brother - in-law John and Donna Whittle of Glasgow, MT, Sister-in-law Lois and Jim Davidson of Aurora, CO; Brother-in-law Phil and Tiny Whittle of Glasgow, MT; and Dave and Bev Whittle of Powell, WY. He was preceded in death by his brother, Pete Murray, parents, Robert and Helene Prevost Murray, and nephews John Lynch and Drew Murray. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 16 from noon until 7:00 p.m. Vigil for the Deceased will be on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in the Schrader Chapel. Funeral Liturgy will be conducted on Thursday, May 17 at St. Mary's Cathedral at 9:00 a.m. Interment will take place in Olivet Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Greg Murray, Don Murray, George Murray, Craig Pindell, Roger Floyd, and Dave Whittle. Charitable contributions in Brent's memory can be made to Cheyenne Safehouse, or Davis Hospice Center of Cheyenne, 6000 Sycamore.
