Robert Romero

Robert Paul Romero, 69, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Sunday morning, March 20, 2016, at Davis Hospice Center surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Romero was born December 23, 1946, in Mora, New Mexico, a son of the late Antonio and Elaine (Vigil) Romero. Robert's greatest joy was the love he shared for his entire family, particularly his grandchildren. His other interests included fishing and camping. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. Robert is survived by his wife, Karen Romero; nine children, Julian Romero, Bobby Romero, Adrian Romero, Michael Romero, Clarice Ley (Sean), Richard Romero (Brenda), Joseph Romero, Tim Sisneros and A.J. Romero; his mother, Elaine V. Romero; eleven siblings, Tony Romero, Jr., Dennis Romero, Steve Romero, Ernie Romero, Janice Taylor, Debra Appodaca, Edward Romero, Sylvia Romero, Elizabeth Moran, Jasper Romero and Lynn Moran; 12 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Antonio "Tony" Romero. A Vigil for the Deceased will be held Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at 6:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 23rd at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral. An interment service will follow at Olivet Cemetery.
