Robert Wilhelm

Robert Morton Wilhelm, 83, of Pine Bluffs, Wyoming, passed away Monday, May 23, 2011, at Cheyenne Medical Center, Cheyenne, Wyoming. Robert was born in Pine Bluffs on June 5, 1927 to Charles A. and Nellie (Clark) Wilhelm. Bob was owner or partner to many business ventures throughout his life, some more rewarding than others. He was always planning his next project while patiently waiting for Publisher's Clearing House to contact him. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and Pine Bluffs Heritage Society. Always an optimist, his words were ever encouraging and he never met a stranger. He carried Hershey's Kisses in his pockets which he freely dispensed along with a hug. "Papa Bobby" as he came to be loving referred to by his family, is survived by daughters, Dawn Wilhelm McNamee of Pine Bluffs, and Gerilyn Wilhelm of Atascadero, CA; sons, Robin Wilhelm and wife,Vickie, of Theodosia, MO., Layne Wilhelm and wife, Karen, of Fallon, NV, and Greg Wilhelm and wife, Debbie, of Lake Havasu City, AZ; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Clara Bockus of Littleton, CO, and Anita Robinson of Pine Bluffs. He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 56 years, Mary Lynne Mercer; son Christopher Wilhelm; and sister, Yvonne Bockus. There will be no visitation. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, May 27, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Pine Bluffs with Father Thomas Cronkleton, Jr. and Father Killian Muli as co-celebrants. Cremation is under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home.
