Robert L. "Bob" Duncan, 90, of Cheyenne passed away January 30, 2016, at the Davis Hospice Center surrounded by his family. Bob was born January 7, 1926, in Chandlerville, Illinois, a son of the late Harold and Grace Duncan. Bob graduated from Normandy High School in St. Louis and enlisted in the Navy during WWII. He returned to St. Louis and attended Washington University and later the University of Wyoming, School of Law. He worked for the Wyoming Highway Department as an attorney, in private practice, and served as Court Coordinator for the State of Wyoming. Bob embraced Wyoming lifestyle and values, and made Cheyenne his home. He enjoyed raising his family in Wyoming and enjoyed his grandchildren's lives. He loved traveling throughout Wyoming, enjoying its beauty, landscape and athletic teams. He joined the Catholic faith later in life, and was an active member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. He was an active member Laramie County Republican Party, Wyoming Bar Association and the American Cancer Society. He was an avid tennis player and he won numerous local and state tournaments. Bob is survived by his four sons, John, Andrew, James and David (Sarah); two granddaughters, Jane and Madeleine; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Elizabeth J. (Verhunce) Duncan; and brothers, Harold and John Duncan. A Vigil for the Deceased will be held on Monday, February 1, 2016, at 6:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 2nd at 10:00 a.m. with an interment service to follow at Olivet Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Bob's memory may be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the American Cancer Society.
