Ronald Eres

Mr. Ronald "Ron" Jay Eres, 56, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday afternoon, March 17, 2014. Mr. Eres was born July 16, 1957, in Oakland, California, a son of the late Jack and Anna (Chavez) Eres. Ron was a graduate of East High School, Class of 1975. He loved coaching children of all ages, girls and boys alike. He was an outgoing person who was loved and respected by the Cheyenne community because of his commitment to coaching and children. He worked for Safeway, Buttrey Food & Drug and Albertson's where he retired as a clerk after 25 years of faithful service. He also served honorably in the Air National Guard until his discharge on June 1, 1987. He will be remembered as a good and loving man who will be missed dearly by his wife, children, grandchildren and countless friends. Ron is survived by his wife, Kim M. (Duran) Eres of Cheyenne; two daughters, DeeAnna Waters and husband, Meifrondee, of Cheyenne, and Geena Eres and girlfriend, Adrienne Moyte, of Cheyenne; three siblings, Randy Eres of Cheyenne, Fulgencio Eres of Gillette, and Frances Wong of Alameda, CA; and five grandchildren, Jasmin Waters, Meifrondee Waters, Jr., Dezmond Waters, Jason Lopez and Gabriella Lopez. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Billy and Bobby Eres; and a sister, Mona Mortenson. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday, March 24th from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a Vigil for the Deceased to be held at 7:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 25th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral with Father August Koeune as celebrant. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park Cemetery.
