Ronald Hape

Ronald W. Hape, 71, of Cheyenne died December 10, 2016, at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. Ron was born in Cheyenne on Sept. 6, 1945, the son of John L. and Lela Wade Hape. On June 23, 1970, Ron married Maureen Mercer in Laramie, WY. Ron was yardmaster for the Union Pacific Railroad until his retirement after 42 years of service. Ron is survived by his wife, Maureen, of Cheyenne; two sons, Michael Thomas Caldwell and Ronald W. "Duke" Hape, both of Cheyenne; three daughers, Kellie Caldwell-Garcia of Cheyenne, and Sandra Lynn Carden and Rhonda Starr, both of San Diego, CA; 18 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Stephen and Gary Hape, both of Killen, Alabama; and one sister, Margaret Wherle of Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memory service will be held Friday, December 16, 2016, at 1:30 p.m. at Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. Interment of urn will be at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
