Rosalie Pindell

Rosalie Elaine Pindell, 78, of Cheyenne died July 16, 2012 at Davis Hospice Center surrounded by her children. She was born June 22, 1934 in Sumner Nebraska, to Harold and Clara (Fleming) Pidgeon. She graduated from Sedgwick County Colorado High School in 1951. On October 16, 1954, Rosalie married Duane Pindell. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women's Auxiliary, Daughter's of the American Revolution, Daughter's of the Union Veterans of the Civil War, Colonial Dames, Family Motorcoach Association and many of its chapters, the Red Dale Travel Club, and several other volunteer and travel organizations. Rosalie was a long time employee of the Internal Revenue Service. She is survived by her son Craig Pindell and his wife Katie Lynch of Cheyenne, daughter Darla Pindell of Anchorage Alaska, son Royce Pindell of Bennett, Colorado; grandchildren Byron (Erin) Pindell, Kyle Pindell, Daryn Pindell and Robyn Pindell; great-grandchildren Payton, Masyn, and Hayden; sister Bonnie Kay Sowder of Windsor, Colorado and brother Dr. Guy (Rhoda) Pidgeon of Henderson, Nevada. She was preceded in death by her husband Duane Pindell on May 1, 2009, her parents, and brother Lincoln Pidgeon. Visitation will be Thursday from 2 PM to 8 PM at Schrader Funeral Home. Services will be held 1:30 PM Friday at the First United Methodist Church with Reverend Elizabeth McVicker officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and nephews, Byron Pindell, Kyle Pindell, Daryn Pindell, Robyn Pindell, John Sowder, Don Pindell, Tom Pindell, and Randy Sowder. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or the Davis Hospice Center.
