Rose Herber

Rose Marie Herber, 86, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2013, in Cheyenne, WY. She was born November 25, 1926, to Roy and Sarah Allen in Columbus, NE. Rose Marie graduated from Mitchell High School in 1944. She held a position with the Bureau of Land Management in Hemingford, NE, and later transferred to Denver, CO. While working in Denver she met Harrison G. Herber and married on February 15, 1947. They made their home in Scottsbluff, NE, until 1975. The Herber's enjoyed traveling and lived in Custer, SD, Escondido, CA; Sun City West, AZ; Albuquerque, NM; Rapid City, SD; and the last few years residing in Cheyenne, WY. Rose Marie was a member of the Daughter's of the American Revolution. Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Harrison, and survived by daughters' Jean Marie Heil (Ed) of Parker, CO; Kay Shilling of Omaha, NE; Debra Herber of Albuquerque, NM; and Brenda Gompert (Gary) of Cheyenne, WY; four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Cremation has taken place under the care of Schrader Funeral Home.
