Ruby Rutledge

Ruby Geneva Rutledge,95, went to meet her heavenly father December 13, 2012 in Denver, CO. She was born January 17, 1917 in Fort Collins Colorado to Art and Nola Jones, the second of 12 children. In 1936 she married John H. Biggs, they moved to Cheyenne where she lived for 67 years. Ruby retired from De Paul Hospital after 28 years where she worked as a nursing assistant. She continued to be active in the community helping her many friends. She married Harold Rutledge in 1985, with whom she had 15 wonderful years. She was preceded in death by both of her husbands. Ruby loved to cook and garden and was known for her beautiful gladiolas and sweet peas. She was a member of the Miracle Valley Assembly of God Church for many years. She is survived by son, John E. Biggs and his wife Beverly of Fort Collins, her daughter Shirley Greer of Denver, Colorado; 4 grand-children, Cheryl Hibbs, Julie Yuvienco, Dean Biggs and Nancy Plehn-Gimbel and 8 great-grandchildren, sisters, Dorann Berry of Fort Collins and Rosella Deriso of Americus GA and several nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday 4-8:00 p.m. at Schrader Funeral Home. Services will be held Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at Miracle Valley Assembly of God Church with Pastor Ed Fugate officiating. Interment will be at Beth El Cemetery. Donations can be made to Miracle Valley Assembly of God Church or the charity of choice. Services are under the care of Schrader Funeral Home.
