Rupert Farr

Rupert E. Farr, 75, of Cheyenne died June 7, 2014 in Cheyenne. He was born February 21, 1939 in Boston, MA to Gerald and Helen Farr. He married Charlotte Webb on March 11, 1963 in Carson City, NV. He married his second wife, Barbara Grunkemeyer Marshall on March 17, 1991 in Las Vegas, NV. He retired as a teacher in Cheyenne and was a member of the Eagles Lodge, American Legion Post #6, American Legion Honor Guard, VFW #1881, Moose Lodge past president of Cheyenne Frontier Days HEELS, treasurer of Cheyenne Housing Authority and a volunteer driver for the VA Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Farr of Cheyenne; children, Shelly Biswell (Ken Biswell) of Wellington, New Zealand, Andrew Farr (Mike Knorr) of Denver, Tyler Ann Prall, DPM (Ryan Prall, MD) of Carmel, IN and Britt Marshall of Carmel, IN; siblings, Gerald Farr of Sonoma, CA and Lila Miller of San Rafael, CA; and four grandchildren. He was preceded by a sister, Ramona Hutchins. Those who wish may contribute to the Cheyenne Family YMCA or charity of their choice. A Celebration of Life will be held at noon on Saturday at the Plains Hotel. Cremation has taken place under the care of Schrader Funeral Home.
