Ruth Good

Mrs. Ruth Carpenter Good, 95, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Sunday morning, July 31, 2011, at Mountain Towers Healthcare Center. Mrs. Good was born March 12, 1916, in Homestead, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Joseph and Lila (Hillman) Dean. Ruth was an animal lover who enjoyed horses and riding in the Cheyenne Frontier Days parade for a number of years. She also enjoyed gardening and socializing with her many friends and family members. Ruth is survived by two sons, Jan Carpenter and Sharon Pennell of Las Cruces, NM, and Kit Carpenter and wife, Marsha, of Cheyenne; and her grandson, Sebastian Carpenter of Cheyenne. She is preceded in death by her first husband, George Carpenter in 1992; her second husband, George Good in 2003; and her brother, Willis Dean. Graveside services in Mountain View Memorial Park Cemetery will be private. Cremation is under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home.
