Sandra Lee

July 16, 1938 — January 16, 2018

Sandra Marie Lee, 79, of Cheyenne, died January 16th, 2018, in Cheyenne after a three-year battle with dementia. She was born on July 16th, 1938, in Ada, Minnesota. She eloped with the love of her life, Dennis Lee, on March 8, 1959 in Webster, South Dakota. They moved to Cheyenne, WY in the early 60's. She was a devoted wife and mother to two children, Jeff and Jennifer. Sandy and Dennis were married almost 50 years until his passing on January 1, 2008. Sandy had a zeal for life. She was past president of the Cheyenne Duplicate Bridge Club, a member of XJWC, a member of PEO, and was by Dennis's side while he was active in the Shrine Club. She was a voracious reader and loved to entertain, cook, play cards, and sew. After Dennis's passing, Sandra met her second love, Rod. They played bridge and traveled, played bridge and traveled, and played bridge and traveled. They had a fabulous run through adulthood until her dementia set in, leading to the longest goodbye. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first spouse, her brother, Graydon, and sister, Linda. She is survived by her two children, Jeff Lee and Jennifer (Lee) Borg, their respective spouses Janice Lee and Lars Borg, and five grandchildren Jaiden, Jacob and Isaiah Lee and Tegan (Leo), and Hayden Borg. She is also survived by Rod, a faithful friend to the end. In lieu of flowers, please take a loved out to dinner or do something to create a memory.
