Sharon Karlene Stoner, 68, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away at her home on February 25, 2016. Her beloved dog, Beau, was with her. Sharon was born October 16, 1947, in Loveland, Colorado, to Hank and Peggy Krening. They moved to Cheyenne when she was young. She graduated from East High School in 1966. Sharon married David James in 1967, and they moved to Burns. In 1971, their son Paul was born followed by their daughter, Stacee, in 1975. While in Burns, Sharon and her mother, Peggy, owned The Burns Grocery Store. Sharon then went to work at Wyoming Potato, where she met her second husband, Dick Stoner. In 1993, she moved back to Cheyenne. After the plant closed, Sharon went to work for Mountain Bell as a telephone operator. She continued working there in various positions as it merged from Mountain Bell to US West and into Quest Communications, where she later retired in 1998. She loved reading, knitting, crocheting, and watching her grandson's ball games and music recitals. Sharon was preceded in death by Dick; her parents, Hank and Peggy; and brother, Marvin Krening. Sharon is survived by son, Paul (Jennifer) James; daughter, Stacee (Terry) Higgins; brother, Henry (Susan) Krening; sister, Shirley Loos; sister-in-law, Beth Krening; aunt, Karlene (James) Gavin; uncle, Tom (Dorothy) Dansel; grandchildren, Hunter, Hayden, Hudsen, David and Ashley (Raelynn); and many nieces and nephews A memory service will be celebrated on Friday, March 4, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home with Pastor Galen Huck officiating. A reception will follow at the Schrader Reception Center. Cremation is under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.
