Sharon K. Walter, 80, of Cheyenne passed away April 10, 2019 at the Davis Hospice Center. Sharon was born May 24, 1938 in Grant City, Missouri, daughter of Nadine and Earl McClellan. Following her mother's passing, she was raised by Robert and Joan Cunningham. Sharon graduated from high school in Hampton, Virginia. In 1971, she married David Walter in Reno, Nevada. She is survived by her husband, David; son, Harold G. "Hal" Walter (Mary); daughter, Shelby N. Crabtree (George); and grandsons, John Crabtree and Harrison Walter. Sharon had a widely diversified career, working for the Bureau of Land Management, Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Forest Service, Federal Housing, the Internal Revenue Service, Federal Highways, and retired from the U.S. Attorney's Office in Cheyenne. Her travels and work took her from Missouri to Virginia, Nevada, Washington, D.C., Colorado, Portugal, and Wyoming. She never really retired, working Sharon's Desktop Publishing and with the Eclectic Elephant. Her main loves were her family, her cats, Lucee and Guy, and her many close friends. Services will be private. Cremation is under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Sharon's name may be made to Davis Hospice Center or charity of choice.
