Shavonne Charee' Webber, age 45, passed away on November 12, 2024 at CRMC in Cheyenne, WY, surrounded by her family.
Shavonne was born on January 27, 1979 to Roger and Conna Webber in Cheyenne, Wyoming. To many of her family, friends & co-workers, she was known as “Chevy”, a nickname her Uncle Terry Webber gave her when she was just a couple weeks old.
She attended Village School Montessori, and Cheyenne elementary schools through 3rd grade. She and her mom moved to Laramie in August of 1988 where she attended Linford Elementary, and Laramie Jr. High, before graduating from Laramie High School in 1997.
Her first job was at the Albany County Fairgrounds where General Manager, Ed Schott, taught her the ropes and was a great mentor to her. During her time in Laramie, she was a member of the Laramie Drill Team where some of their performances included a Laramie Christmas parade and a UW Girls' Basketball game. She was in gymnastics at the Wyoming School of Gymnastics where she was offered to be on the competition team. She loved being a member of the Laramie AAU Volleyball League – League Champions!! Because her mom's parents were both involved with the Masonic Lodge in Montana, she joined the Laramie Job's Daughters where she was “Chaplain” for a term. She also took piano lessons. She loved going to the ranch where her mom grew up – after the initial “city-girl” shock, of course! She loved riding the horses and doing things with her cousins --- and, even loved the constant teasing from her Uncle Wayne. When she and her mom visited her Uncle Dwayne (Condon, MT), he made her a fishing pole out of a twig; she never caught a fish with it, but she kept that pole for many years!
After graduation, she worked in Laramie and Cheyenne, then moved to Ohio. She stayed in the area for a few years and then eventually moved back to Cheyenne. Both of Shavonne's children were born in Cheyenne: daughter, Ciarah Charee' and son, Jaimen. Shavonne and Preston Bayne met around 2010; they were married in Las Vegas in 2021. Shavonne's grandchildren were also born in Cheyenne. Her granddaughter, Aubriella Charee' (Aubri) and her grandson, Zakyius (“Ky”). Shavonne loved animals, rodeos, riding horses, CFD, PBR, college & NFL games, WWE boxing, trips to Las Vegas, concerts, BBQs with family and friends, special occasion trips to the Denver Zoo, Butterfly Pavilion, Water World, etc. Her “peaceful” place was camping, boating and fishing at Wheatland Reservoir #1. She LOVED cooking!! Her cooking channels were always on and she was always trying new recipes and coming up with her own twist on some of those recipes and some of their “restaurant” favorites. She often posted pictures of her many culinary accomplishments on Facebook. Her dream was to one day own a restaurant or food truck. Shavonne preferred working in the construction, pipeline and trucking industries. She was working for Southern Tire Mart at Pilot at the time of her passing.
She was preceded in death by her father; grandparents Rose & Conn Forder, Sue & Lawrence Carey, and Ben & Vangi Webber; Uncles Wayne and Dwayne Forder; Aunt Nona Webber (Terry). Shavonne is survived by her husband, mother, children and grandchildren; step-daughter MaKayla Bayne; step-son Dylan Bayne and his son Korbyn (all of Laramie); “Adopted” daughter MacKenzie “Kenzie” Winebarger (Josiah) and their daughter, Kinzley; half-sisters Michelle Webber and Renee Fonseca (Stanley); "Special" brother Shane Roche (Kaitlyn), Casper; “Special” Grandma Yvonne Erickson, Arizona; step-grandparents Darlene “Granny” & Bill Stuart, Laramie; Uncle Terry Webber; Uncle Darin Stuart, Laramie; aunts Dorothy Forder (Wayne) and Pam Forder (Dwayne) both of Montana; cousins Tami Good (Charles), Conn Forder (Lorri), Bret Forder (JennyJo) all of Montana, Bill Webber (Jolyn), Dan Webber (Carey), Missouri, and Tana Phillips (Tim), Texas. Also, their two Boxers, Rosco and Daisy. Plus, so many friends she met throughout her life and career.
A huge big thank you to all our family and friends who have been so supportive during this difficult time. Also, a big thank you to the CRMC ICU doctors, nurses and staff and UW Family doctors for all their efforts, support and caring. Family scattering of Shavonne's ashes will be held next spring at Wheatland Reservoir #1 and at the Forder ranch in Montana. A Celebration of Life has been scheduled for May 10, 2025 at the Old West Museum in Cheyenne for family and friends. We would love for you to join us in celebrating Shavonne's life.
In lieu of flowers, please consider sending a Memorial in Shavonne's name to the charity of your choice.
