Sherman Wesley Wiseman, 81, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, June 5, 2016. Sherman was born April 8, 1935, in Pueblo, Colorado, to Sherman John Wiseman and Virginia Elizabeth (Hart) Wiseman. He married Lois Jean (Graves) Wiseman on June 12, 1955, in Wheatland. As a young man, he participated in many sports, including football, basketball, baseball, boxing and rodeo. Later in life, he became a rodeo announcer and professional sound man. Sherman is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jean; five children, Lynn Sammis (Les Mead), Sherman Eric Wiseman (Heather), Charlie Wiseman (Leslie), Eddie Louise (Wiseman) Clark (Chip), and Earl Wiseman (Nancy); 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by his brother, Ed Wiseman (Judy) of Marion, Iowa; and sister, Edna Maury of Denver. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother. A memory service will be celebrated on Friday, June 10, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.
