Miss Sierra Jo Deselms, 19, of Burns, Wyoming, passed away tragically on Thursday, July 31, 2014. Miss Deslems was born May 16, 1995, in Cheyenne, a daughter of Joseph Dean and Suzanne (Nussbaum) Deselms. Sierra graduated from Burns High School, Class of 2013. She was presently attending LCCC's diesel mechanics program. Sierra is survived by her loving parents, Joseph and Suzanne Deselms of Burns; her sister, Kayla Deselms of Burns; her paternal grandmother, Norma Deselms of Burns; her maternal grandmother, Betty Nussbaum of Burns; six aunts and uncles, Howard Deselms and wife, Carrie, of Albin, WY, Bob Deselms and wife, Denise of Ft. Collins, CO, Shirley Carpenter and husband, Don, of Cheyenne, Harvey Deselms of Cheyenne, Dave Nussbaum and girlfriend, Jackie Goldfarb, of Cheyenne, and Rod Nussbaum of Minot, SD; and numerous cousins. She is preceded in death by two grandfathers, Kenneth Deselms and Claude Nussbaum. A memory service will be celebrated on Thursday, August 14, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at the Burns High School Gymnasium with The Reverend Lesley Matschke officiating. Cremation is under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home, Cheyenne. Expressions of sympathy in Sierra's memory may be made a scholarship fund with Laramie County Community College Founday, c/o Lisa Murphy, or to the Burns Ambulance Fund.
