Spencer Bennett

Spencer Trenton Bennett, 24, of Cheyenne, died July 29, 2011, in Cheyenne as a result of an accident. Born in Sacramento, CA on March 4, 1987, to Mark and June (Bean) Bennett, the family lived in Westminster, CO before moving to Egbert, WY in 1996. During his school years, Spencer was active in Tech Club, lettered in football, and played saxophone in the school band and pep club. For many years he was an active member of Troop 107 of the Boy Scouts of America, where he achieved the rank of Star. After graduating Burns High School in 2005, Spencer moved to Cheyenne where he worked at Spradley Ford before gaining employment at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center. Spencer enjoyed his job, building computers, watching movies and listening to techno music. He was an avid on-line gamer while indoors and loved to ride his motorcycle when outdoors. Spencer is survived by his mother June Bennett of Cheyenne; his father and step-mother, Mark and Linda Bennett of Asbury, IA; his sister, Sondra Harris of Pueblo, CO; his grandparents, Don Bennett of Galt, CA, and Christa Miguel of Elk Grove, CA; along with Aunt Elizabeth Blower, Aunt Christa Thurman, Uncle Tim Bennett, all of California, Aunt Robin Pfeifer of Colorado, their spouses and children. Spencer leaves numerous friends. Spencer is predeceased by grandparents, Harold Bean in 1966 and Joan Wilson in 1989. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 3, 2011, from 4-8 p.m. at the Schrader Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, August 4th at 10:30 a.m. at the Schrader Chapel with Pastor Nadine Korhonen officiating. Burial will take place in Lakeview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Benjamin Ward, John Jenkins, Kevin Jacob, Mike Jacob, Scott Archbold, Wesley Young, Brent Young and Shaun Milligan. Spencer's smile and sense of humor will be genuinely missed.
