Stanley Braden

December 20, 1925 — September 17, 2016

God saw that you were tired and said, "Come, be with me and rest awhile." Stanley S. Braden, 90, graduated into the arms of Jesus on September 17, 2016. Stan was born December 20, 1925, in Lewellen, Nebraska, to John and Rosalie (Simonds) Braden. Stan married Anna Clapp on November 24, 1945, and to this union three children were born: a daughter, Cheryl, and two sons, Jim and Larry. His precious first wife, Anna, passed away in 1966. Stan was co-owner of Missile Drive Auto Body with his brother, Luke, from 1977 to 1987. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and working on and racing classic rod cars as well as getting together with family. He enjoyed going out to eat breakfast or lunch (preferably with family or friends) and was known around several cafés in Cheyenne as a regular customer. On August 22, 1987, he married Judy Gilligan. They shared 29 golden years together. After Stan and Judy both retired, they spent several winters down in Arizona where Stan was able to bowl in many different leagues which brought him much joy. Together they enjoyed swimming and eating out at several themed-style restaurants. During his years on this earth, he was blessed to be a father of Cheryl (Ray) Sanders, Jim (Cindy) Braden and Larry (Susan) Braden. He also was a grandpa to seven grandchildren, Valarie, Brenda, Willy, Ben, Anna, Joel and Kristeen. His wonderful legacy will live on in his nine great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren as well as several other precious step-grandchildren and wonderful family by marriage. A memory service will be celebrated on Friday, September 23, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. An interment will follow at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens. Cremation is under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. To play the memorial tribute video, please click on the link below:
