Starla Allen

Starla Kay Allen, 51, of Cheyenne died after a courageous battle with cancer on February 9, 2014 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. She was born April 11, 1962 in Portales, NM to Buddy Ray and Carolina Beakley. She married Raymond Allen on May 3, 1985 in Cheyenne. She was a sales manager at Springhill Suites and was a member of the Baptist Faith. She is survived by her husband, Raymond Allen of Cheyenne; parents, Buddy and Peggy Beakley of Phoenix, AZ and Carolina and Benny Jimenez of Las Cruces, NM; siblings Shauna Beakley of Las Cruces, NM, Dusty (Cindy) Beakley of Las Cruces, NM, Rusty (Lacrecia) Beakley of Albuquerque, NM, Derek (Janna) Zimmerman of Phoenix, AZ; numerous nieces and nephews, and most all her beloved dogs, Ruby, Gracie and Max. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute to the Cheyenne Animal Shelter. A Celebration of Life will be 4:00 p.m. Friday at the AmVets, as a potluck gathering. Cremation has taken place under the care of Schrader Funeral Home.
