Stephanie Renee (Elmore) Sundem, 58, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at Cheyenne Health Care. Stephanie was born December 2, 1955, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, a daughter of the late Daryl L. and Opal C. (Leverett) Elmore. Stephanie was born at the Ft. Carson Army Base in Colorado Springs and at the age of 8, she moved to Denver with her mother and later moved to Casper. She worked at Kmart until she was diagnosed with M.S. and later resided at Shepherd of the Valley Nursing Home in Casper. In 2012, she moved to Cheyenne for additional medical assistance. Stephanie is survived by her son, Chato Sundem of Casper; a daughter, Brandie Sundum of Casper; a granddaughter, Janell Day of Casper; three grandsons, Joshua Day, Jacob Ladwig and Treavor Hyde, all of Casper; two great-grandsons; her sisters, Alberta Kline of Colorado Springs, Brucellia Bennett of Colorado Springs, and Cheryl Hill of Ft. Collins, CO; numerous nieces and nephews; and her very best friends Martha and David Wallace, Heather Belden, Paula Bott and Pastor Jack of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Derrill Isaacs; three nephews, Shawn, Billy and Gary; and a niece, Kelly Sue. There will be no services per her wishes. Cremation is under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home, Cheyenne. God has finally wrapped his arms around the tired and weary body of Stephanie. He has taken her home after 20 years with M.S. She loved her family more than they are aware of and words can't express our sadness of her loss. She will always be in our hearts. Rest in peace with brother.
