"Stephanie Titus, aged 55, died in her home in Aurora, Colorado on March 27, 2025. Born in California to parents Don and Carlta Titus in 1969, she moved with her family to Pennsylvania, where she graduated from Bensalem High School in 1987.
Stephanie graduated from Temple University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Social Work and received her Master’s of Public Administration from San Francisco State University in 1999.
Stephanie worked as a Grants Administrator for various non-profit foundations throughout her professional career.
She met her life partner Dave Cardegna in 2007 in San Francisco and the two moved to Evergreen, Colorado in 2012 to be closer to extended family. They tied their own knot in 2012 and were officially married in 2014 by an Elvis Impersonator in Las Vegas.
Family was important and Dave and Stephanie enjoyed hosting the Titus family aunts, uncles and cousins for holidays and spent wonderful times attending family reunions, high school graduations, and weddings.
Stephanie enjoyed gardening, flowers and garden gnomes. She loved cooking shows, especially Anne Burrell on Food Network, and often spent hours texting back and forth with cousin Jean about Worst Cooks in America and the Great American Food Truck Race.
Stephanie was a force of nature and stomped through life for 45 of her 55 years of life. She was happiest about 20 feet away from a top fuel NASCAR burnout or home on the couch with her pets.
Stephanie struggled with addiction for the last ten years of her life and got caught up in that cycle of treatment, recovery and relapse so common to addictive behavior.
She is survived by her husband, Dave “Vito” Cardegna, puppy “Clyde” and her two kitties; mother Carlta Witthar of Riverton, Wyoming; sister and brother in-law Valerie and Mike Steiner, nephew Gavin and niece Emma, all of Pennsylvania; Aunt Melva, Boulder, Wyoming; and step-dad Edgar Del Campo, New Jersey.
Stephanie was preceded in death by her father Don Titus in 2009.
Her memorial will be held at the Schrader Funeral Home in Cheyenne, Wyoming at 2:30pm on Saturday, April 26th. The family will also meet later that day for a private celebration of her life. Cremains will be buried at a later date in Boulder, Wyoming in the family plot.
