A graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, April 22nd at 1:00 p.m. at the Prairie Rest Cemetery in Guernsey, Wyoming. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2010, from 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Schrader Funeral Home. Mr. Steven Micheal Hill, 56, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away suddenly Sunday, April 18, 2010, at his home in Cheyenne. Steve was born November 13, 1953, in Cheyenne, a son of Clarence and Bernice (Cole) Hill. Following the completion of his high school education, he enlisted in the United States Army where he served in Vietnam from 1969-1972. Following his honorable discharge, he worked as a mechanic and later drove truck over the road and also hauled locally for numerous trucking companies. When not working, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. His other interests included working with wood and metal, and fishing. Steve is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Gloria Yvonne (Mayo) Hill of Cheyenne; five children, Steven Hill of Lusk, WY, Doc Hill of Douglas, WY, Micheal Hill of Cheyenne, WY, Roxann Hill of Cheyenne, and Richard Hill of Cheyenne; his mother, Bernice Hill of Douglas, WY; two brothers, Dean Hill of Riverton, WY, and Dave Hill of Douglas, WY; a sister, Linda Helm of Reno, NV; and nine grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Clarence Hill; three brothers, Richard, Sonny and Dennis Hill; and a grandson, Austin Lee Hill in 2003.
