Suzanne M. Horbury, 86, born on July 27, 1938, in Pasadena, California, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2024, in Fort Collins, Colorado. Suzanne, also know as Sue and Suzie, was a cherished individual whose life touched many hearts, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth. Sue was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, Aunt Susie and friend. She was married to David Horbury for 34 years, who predeceased her while they were living in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Sue is survived by her three loving children and their spouses: Douglas and Martha Wilson, Randy and Robin Wilson, and Stephanie Reed. She took immense pride in her role as a mother, and her children were a central part of her life. Sue also leaves behind seven grandchildren and one great-grandson, all of whom were a source of boundless joy and happiness for her.
Sue was the youngest of eight children and was preceded in death by her siblings Dorothy, Oscar, Earl, Barbara, Carol, Kay, and Gwen, creating a deep bond of love and shared memories among them. Sue was also preceded in death by her parents, William "Norman" Moore and Loretta "Laura" Moore. Her parents and siblings played significant roles in shaping the person she became.
Suzanne's remarkable journey was defined not only by her familial ties but also by the warmth she radiated to all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, as they cherish the moments spent together.
A memorial will be held at the Mountain View Cemetery in Altadena, CA in November.
