Teresa Cunningham

With great sadness we have lost our friend, mother, and grandmother, Teresa Cunningham, age 69.  Teresa was born on February 17, 1954, in Johnson City, Tennessee, and died on August 10, 2023, at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.

Teresa is survived by her husband, Allan; her daughters Amanda (Matt) Swift, Jackie (Evan) Baxter; and her grandchildren, Anabelle Baumhover-Swift, Brandt Baumhover, Sivanna Baumhover, Haven Baxter, and Sylas Baxter.  She is also survived by her mother, Elcie Salts, brother Keith (Patti) Salts and sister Sandra Salts, all of Port Orange, Florida.  She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Salts.

She was previously employed with the State Engineer’s Office, Casey Family Programs, and Cheyenne Light, Fuel and Power.  She also worked as the Administrative Assistant and Youth Director at First Christian Church.  Her fondest memories were working with youth at Church; especially Vacation Bible School.

She will be greatly missed.  She faced her ordeal with bravery and dignity.  She will live on in our hearts and minds as well as the hearts and minds of everyone she met.  Services will be held at First Christian Church on Thursday, August 17, at 1:00 p.m., followed by a graveside service at Memorial Gardens and finally a reception at First Christian Church. All are welcome to come and share this day when we celebrate the gift she was in this world and to each of us.
