Terrell Blaker

Terrell Jack Blaker, 57, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away early Saturday morning, December 16, 2017, at the University of Colorado Hospital. Terrell was born March 1, 1960, in Durant, Oklahoma, a son of Jack Walton and Ila Juanita (Case) Blaker. Terrell was raised in Atoka, Oklahoma and following his high school graduation, he attended East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma and also Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant. As a young man, he worked for his father at a men's clothing store and in 1987 he enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving for five years as a firefighter. He continued his work as a civilian firefighter until April 2014, working on F.E. Warren Air Force Base. Terrell was an avid outdoorsman and his passion was hunting deer and fly fishing. His other interests included golfing and buying antiques. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother and friend, and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Terrell is survived by his loving wife, Barbara A. (McCleave) Blaker; son, Logan Terrell Blaker; three sisters, Teresa Gaye Dodderer, Regina Kaye Hall and Twyla Rae Deupree; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Ila Blaker. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. A memory service will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 20th at 11:00 a.m. at the Cheyenne Evangelical Free Church. An interment service will follow at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
