Thelma L. (Hooker) Parker of Cheyenne, formerly of Walden and Longmont, Colorado, died October 1, 2017, at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. She had just celebrated her 93rd birthday at Life Care Center of Cheyenne. Thelma was born September 30, 1924, on the family homestead south-east of Otis, Colorado and was the ninth child of Richard and Anna (Weir) Hooker. She married Stanley P. Parker on July 27, 1940, in Akron, Colorado. Together they had three children - Norman, Anetta and Ricky. Thelma was a homemaker. During their early years, they lived in and around Akron, Colorado, and in 1948 they moved to Longmont where they lived until 1977 when Stan was transferred to Lovell, WY with Great Western Sugar Company. Following his retirement in 1993, the couple returned to Cheyenne and later to Walden. After the death of Stan in 2006, she returned to Cheyenne. She is survived by daughter, Anetta Steiner of Walden, CO; son, Ricky (Joan) Parker of Cheyenne; daughter-in-law, Rosella Parker of Walden, CO; four grandsons, Clifford Parker of Walden, CO, Kim Parker of Williston, ND, Rocky Steiner and wife, Elizabeth, of Denver, and Scott Steiner of Laramie; three great-grandchildren, Abi Steiner, Julia Steiner and Michael Steiner; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; eight siblings; her husband; a son; two grandsons; and one great-grandson. A private family memorial will be held at a later date. Cremation is under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.
