Thomas Gass

Thomas H. "Tom" "Tommy" Gass of Cheyenne, WY passed away on Monday, May 2, 2011 at University Hospital in Denver, CO. He was 62 years old. Thomas Hilon Gass was born on April 3, 1949 in Sidney, NE, the son of Bernard Hilon and Colleen Clare Gass. He married Carol Lynn Hartman on August 30, 1969 in Sidney, NE. After serving in the Air and Army National Guard, he worked in the oil and gas industry for approx. 40 years. Tom was an honorable man whom loved his family very much. He was grateful to have such a loving wife and three beautiful daughters. He loved to go hunting, camping and riding his ATV. Most of all, he loved spending precious moments with his two grandsons. He is loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Tom is survived by his mother, Colleen Gass of Sidney, NE; his loving wife of 42 years, Carol Gass of Cheyenne, WY; daughters, Jennifer Dianne Gass of Denver, CO and Alison Lea and her husband John Touchton of Port Allegany, PA; grandchildren, Morgin Mikell Touchton and Gavin Lee Touchton of Port Allegany, PA; sisters, Terry and her husband Mark Anthony of Monument, CO, Gayle and her husband Rev. Alan Borcher of Riverton, UT; brother, Larry Gass of Dickinson, ND and numerous nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his father and a much loved daughter, Kimberly Ilene Gass. Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday May 6, 2011 at Schrader Chapel with Reverend Alan Borcher and Pastor Buddy Hanson officiating. A private family interment of the urn will take place in Sidney, NE. Those who wish may contribute to the American Cancer Society, 333 S. Beech St., Casper, WY 82601.
