Thomas Lumpkin

February 3, 1934 — January 8, 2017

Thomas P. Lumpkin of Cheyenne passed away peacefully at his home after a short battle with lung cancer. He was born February 3, 1934 in Havre, MT to John S. and Mary Martin Lumpkin. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict as an airplane mechanic. He was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral and the Knights of Columbus. After retirement he volunteered as a Senior Companion with Wyoming Senior Citizens. He was very kind and giving of his time and helped many clients live at home independently, even taking them on fishing trips. In his last days he was aided immensely by his fellow volunteers at Senior Companions. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Cecelia Bentley, Betty Lumpkin, John S. Lumpkin, Jr., Mary Lou Williamson, and William E. Lumpkin. He is survived by his cat "Boots", ten nieces and nephews, and ten great-nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. Condolences can be posted on its website at www.schradercares.com. A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral at 2107 Capitol Avenue.
