Tommie Lockett

Tommie Lockett, 44, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, peacefully passed away on January 24, 2016, at the Davis Hospice Center surrounded by her family and friends. Tommie was born February 28, 1971, in Texas and lived in Cheyenne for 23 years. She had a strong love for animals and always opened up her heart and home for any animal in need. Tommie loved spending time outdoors and enjoyed trips to Estes Park with her family and friends. Tommie was a dedicated worker who still found time to become a master quilter, which she would donate to help local charities. She loved playing volleyball and reading Jodi Picoult books in her spare time. Tommie had a special place in her heart for everyone that she met. Her children, Tyler and Hailie, were her greatest joy and they kept her going when times got tough. Her family and friends will miss her positive outlook on life, her warm smile, and her gentle heart. Tommie is survived by her son, Tyler Sargent (Brooke); step-daughter, Hailie Mastin; her mom Sandy Lockett; sister, Shannon Drake (Rich); niece, Alexis; nephew, Thomas; grandfather, Leland Lockett; aunt, Corinne Ocker; cousins, Jeri Walker, Brad Ocker and Mark Ocker; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Lockett; and grandmother, Inez Lockett. A Vigil for the Deceased will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at 6:00 p.m. at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. A memory service will be celebrated on Thursday, January 28th at 10:30 a.m. at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home with Father August Koeune officiating. Cremation is under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.
