Ulrich "Rick" Christensen

Mr. Ulrich "Rick" H. Christensen, 67, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Wednesday afternoon, October 3, 2012, at the VA Medical Center in Cheyenne. Mr. Christensen was born January 3, 1945, in Rothwasser, Germany, a son of Lester and Ingeborg Christensen. Rick served honorably in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he worked 40 years as a steel draftsman but his truest joy came from serving as a volunteer for the VA Medical Center in Cheyenne and also for the DAV transportation office. He also enjoyed caring for animals and often rescued animals that were in need of care. Rick is survived by his loving wife, Judy Christensen of Cheyenne. A private interment will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado. Expressions of sympathy in Rick's memory may be made to the VA Medical Center, 2360 East Pershing Road, Cheyenne, WY 82001, in recognition of the love and care Rick received during his stay at the VA Medical Center.
