Joseph Jesse Valdez of Cheyenne passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Life Care Center of Cheyenne. He was 91 years old. He was Born on March 30, 1919 in Moses, New Mexico, the son of Joseph and Fidencia Valdez. He married Angelina Charlotte Chavez on July 20, 1941 in Ft. Collins. He is survived by his children Anthony (Jan)Valdez of Casper, Wyoming, Ron (Wanda) Valdez of Baxter, Kentucky, Bob (Donna) Valdez of San Diego, California, Nancy (Paul) Ortiz of Sacramento, California, Valerie (Bill) Miller of Cheyenne Wyoming, Stephen (Carol) Valdez of San Diego , California, Dennis(Liz) Valdez of San Jose, California and Dominic (Cynthia) Valdez of Cheyenne, Wyoming. He is also survived by his brother, Jacob Valdez of Cheyenne; two sisters, Lucy Valdez of Ft. Collins, Colorado and Josie Valdez of San Diego, California;21 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister. A Vigil for the Deceased will be 6 p.m., Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Schrader Chapel. Funeral Liturgy will be 10:15 a.m., Friday, February 25, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Ray Moss officiating. Interment will be at Mt. View Memorial Park following the funeral liturgy. Pallbearers will be Anthony Valdez, Ron Valdez, Bob Valdez, Stephen Valdez, Dennis Valdez and Dominic Valdez. In lieu of flowers, family has requested that donations be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
