Vernon Pixley

Vernon G. Pixley, 70, of Albin, Wyoming, passed away suddenly at this home on Monday, December 21, 2015. Vernon was born November 5, 1945, in Fairbury, Nebraska, a son of Clair and Velma (Breazeale) Pixley. Vernon worked in the oil fields in Thermopolis and also as a roofer for Custom Roofing before driving cab in Cheyenne. His many interests included reading, watching sports, particularly football and baseball, and he especially enjoyed spending time with his great-grandson. Vernon is survived by three children, Steven Pixley of Grover, CO, Veronica Teeters of Albin, and Lisa Letcher of Chugwater, WY; three brothers, Mike Pixley of Cheyenne, Ivan Pixley of Cheyenne, and Chuck Pixley of Florida; three grandchildren; and one great-grandson. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joyceann Pixley; four brothers; and two sisters. A reception will be held on Monday, December 28, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at the Albin Community Center. A private interment at the Albin Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family. Cremation is under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.
