Viola Coy

Viola L Coy, 99, of Cheyenne passed away April 15, 2014 at Kindred Transitional Care Facility. She was born Viola Leora Bunnell to Hugh and Alvena Bunnell in Culbertson, NE on December 14, 1914. She moved with her family to a homestead in Huntley, WY in 1929. She attended High School at Lyman, NE and graduated in 1932. She attended business school at Scottsbluff, NE. She married Ivan J. Coy in 1939 in Scottsbluff and lived in Torrington, for 22 years before moving to California for a year. They moved back to Cheyenne in 1962 and had lived here since that time. She was a bookkeeper and apartment Manager for 17 years. She is survived by her son, Richard Coy of Casa Grande, AZ; daughter , Barbara McCall of Falls Church, VA; 4 grandsons and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan, 1 brother, Virgil, and 2 sisters, LaVerna Matthews and Arlene Vandervort. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date. Burial will be at Valley View Cemetery in Torrington, Wyoming. Contribution may be made to Meals on wheels or Davis Hospice Center.
