One rabbit even got so brave as to come up and nudge her if he thought she wasn't getting the food out soon enough. Maxine worked on the farm and as a house wife in addition to working part-time at the Antelope Junction Café as a waitress. When she retired from that, she worked for awhile for the Burns School Cafeteria. Maxine attended church at the Hillsdale Methodist Church and was a member of the Woman's Auxiliary of the American Legion.
