Virginia Wiese

Virginia Ellen Wiese, 86, of Cheyenne died November 8, 2014 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. She was born March 9, 1928 in Scottsbluff, NE. She attended grade schools in Scottsbluff and Muncie, IN. Virginia completed her education graduating from Cheyenne High in 1946. She went to Barnes Business School in Denver, CO. Virginia met Bill Wiese in July 1947 and were married June 24, 1949. She worked as a secretary in various offices in Cheyenne. Virginia and Bill were baptized by immersion at the First Southern Baptist Church on August 7, 1988. They wanted to be baptized the way Jesus was. They were devoted Christians and loved the Lord. Virginia is survived by her sisters, Klaudia Stoner and Dorthea Brown of Cheyenne; sister-in-law Evy Ann Wiese of Powell; 3 nieces; 3 nephews; 4 great-nieces; 10 great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; her father and mother, Lawrence and Mary Tanner; brother-in-law, Jack Wiese; niece, Lucinda Brown; and a nephew, Russell G. Stoner. In lieu of flowers friends and relatives may contribute to one of Virginia's favorite charities in her memory: Operation Smile, 6435 Tidewater Dr., Norfolk, VA 23509; or International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, P.O. Box 96105, Washington, DC, 20090-6105. Visitation will be Tuesday 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Schrader funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be Wednesday 10:00 a.m. in the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader Funeral Home. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
