Virginia Wyburn

Mrs. Virginia M. (Boyer) Wyburn, 89, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2014, at the Davis Hospice Center. Mrs. Wyburn was born April 23, 1925, in Dubuque, Iowa, a daughter of the late Julius J. and Anna (DeWachter) Boyer. Following high school graduation, Virginia worked for Western Union until her marriage to Alfred J. Wyburn. She enjoyed working in her home and raising her family. She was a faithful parishioner at St. Mary's Cathedral for 48 years, and she volunteered with the Cathedral Guild, the Bishop's Guild, the Chancery and St. Mary's School. She also enjoyed her involvement with the Genealogy Society. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Virginia is survived by her children, Theresa Wyburn of Pueblo, CO; Celia Teague and husband, Bob, of Cheyenne, John Wyburn and wife, Francine, of Lakewood, CO, Thomas Wyburn of Cheyenne, Jean Wellock and husband, Douglas, of Dalas, OR, and Patrick Wyburn and wife, Carla, of Pueblo, CO; two brothers, Julius Boyer, Jr. of Pueblo, CO, and Phillip Boyer of Pueblo, CO; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alfred J. Wyburn; two brothers, Charles Boyer and Robert Boyer; and two sisters, Mary Dittmer and Margaret Heilklia. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 15, 2014, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Schrader Funeral Home, 2222 Russell Ave., with a Vigil for the Deceased to follow at 7:00 p.m. at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader Funeral Home. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, August 16th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral with a reception to follow at the Schrader Reception Center.
