A memorial service will be conducted on Thursday, December 3, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at the Schrader Chapel with Steve Merritt officiating. Mrs. Vivian L. (Haagensen) Harvey, 54, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Sunday evening, November 29, 2009, at the Davis Hospice Center surrounded by her loving family. Vivian was born March 23, 1955, in Laramie, Wyoming, a daughter of Chester and Helen (Lewis) Haagensen. Vivian married James Lee Harvey on August 27, 1978. She worked as a real estate agent for more than 30 years, having worked most recently for Kuzma Real Estate. Her many interests included fishing, boating, camping and photography. She enjoyed attending rodeos and parades during Cheyenne Frontier Days. She was extremely kind hearted and would often go out of her way to help stray animals in need, particularly cats and kittens. She will be remembered as a loving wife, daughter, sister and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her. Vivian is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, James Lee Harvey of Cheyenne; her father, Chester Haagensen of Gillette, WY; two sisters, Jeannie Johns and husband, Ted, of Gillette, and Linda Haagensen of Gillette; a grandson, Jace Horton of Cheyenne; her mother-in-law, Donna Harvey of Cheyenne; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother, Helen Haagensen. Expressions of sympathy in Vivan’s memory may be made to the Davis Hospice Center, 6000 Sycamore, Cheyenne, WY 82009.
